Our Approach

One of the most important relationships you can have is with your family, however it can also prove to be challenging and time consuming. We want to help bring peace through helping you and your family find resolution to whatever is causing conflict. Whether it is a communication issue, a need for clear boundaries, an unresolved trauma, behavioral concerns, lack of self esteem, or some other source of calamity in your family unit, our therapists at Arise Counseling & Therapy are available to help you. We will work together to determine the best approach for your family which often includes a combination of both individual and family sessions. We understand taking this first step is a difficult one, but we will come alongside of you and help you navigate the process.  Our methods include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths Based Counseling, and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

What to Expect

  • Initial Intake Session, where you the family unit and your therapist will learn more about one another and make the decision if this is the best fit, as well as determine the goals you’d like to work on together.

  • Following Sessions, where your chosen goals will be worked on utilizing evidence based techniques combined with your unique needs and your therapist’s personal style.

Each family is unique, which means these sessions are tailored to your individual concerns, goals, and needs. Your therapist will work with you to determine which discussions, strategies, and timeline benefits your counseling or therapy the most.
