About Margaret
Margaret enjoys working with young adults and adults who are navigating the weight of ongoing stress, processing loss, or seeking balance amidst the demands of your professional or personal life. She is also passionate about working with educators and partners of first responders recognizing the unique challenges and stressors that come with these roles. As a warm and compassionate therapist, her goal is to create a safe and nurturing environment where clients feel seen and heard.
Her approach is grounded in understanding and supporting the whole client; that therapy should be tailored to fit the client’s needs and circumstances. Along with person-centered, Margaret likes to utilize CBT and Strengths-based therapy. She works collaboratively with her clients to create a plan to discover the most effective path forward.
Margaret received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from ECU and her Masters in Counselor Education from ECU as well. Formerly both a teacher and a school counselor for the past eleven years in the county, she is a Wilmington native and enjoys living at the coast with her husband, two children, and dog, Tucker.
