About Yolandi

Being raised in a female dominated household Yolandi has become fiercely committed to the health and wellness of all things females. For as long as Yolandi can remember she has loved sitting, listening and learning to the complexities of what it means to be female and human. Her passion for individual stories and narration started very young with her love for reading and writing. She sees it as an honor to sit with women in the vulnerable spaces, in order to see them heal and thrive. Yolandi utilizes a blend of EMDR, Narrative, and Holistic approach techniques in her practice. With these tools her clients can enhance their sense of confidence and connection to others. She specializes in treating anxiety, mood disorders, PTSD, attachment trauma and seuxal related issues. 

 

Yolandi received her Bachelors of Communication Studies from UNCW and her Masters in Counselor Education at ECU. She has completed her EMDR basic training through The EMDR International Association (EMDRIA). Yolandi was born in Pretoria, South Africa and now lives here in Wilmington, happily married to her incredible husband Shawn, and their two dogs Oakley and Airlie.
